You see all types of motorcycles, bikes, scooters and small, city-friendly vehicles in Paris.

Some are creativiely modified. When you get closer to this one, you see a baby seat, protected from the rain, and discover it’s a cross between a bicycle and a stroller.

Bikes are everywhere. But I wouldn’t have wanted to be the rider of this crushed vélib (rental bike).

A very chic ‘woman of a certain age’ parked this unusual car in the 6th arrondissement. On questioning her, she informed me that it’s a Japanese car, AIXAM, that can go only 50 km/hr (~30mph) and because of this, no driving license is required. After she left, the French friend with me said this is the car people drive in France after they lose their licenses for drunk driving.

Electric cars hace entered the market here. There are spaces and chargers reserved for them in some areas.
